Kindergarten, Pre-School & Toddler Dance Classes - Including Special Mommy & Me Dance Classes
We know every child is different. That is why we've created a wide variety of dance classes to fit every child's personality. When your child is in the right class they stay interested, have more fun and benefit more. That is why at Dance Connection we have classes ranging from fun/activity dance classes for toddlers to mommy and me dance classes to theme based dance classes for children 2-4 years of age.

Dancing Together (boys & girls 18-30 Months)
Dancing together is a parent child dance class for toddlers 18-30 months. These mommy and me classes are better for child's development and also provide an opportunity of sharing the fun of music and movement along with loving caregiver. An experienced instructor leads you and your child through a series of fun exercises designed to improve balance, increase coordination and develop body awareness. Children follow along, imitate their adult counterparts and socialize with other toddlers.
Tumble Dance (boys and girls 2 1/2 & 3 years old)
Tumble Dance is our gymnastics/dance class for boys and girls 2 1/2 & 3 years old. In these preschool dance classes children are lead through a series of activities that help develop strength, flexibility and coordination. Your child learns basic dance steps and positions, and simple tumbling movements. Children spin, tumble, turn and jump in this class and are taught a series of fun and challenging dances that they repeat each week. Take two classes a week and get a discount. Pair this class with Nursery Dance, Tiger Dance, Animal Dancers or Hippity-Hop.
Nursery Dance (girls 3 years old)
Nursery Dance is our creative movement/ ballet dance class for 3 year old girls. Our instructors keep the class fun and imaginative by using props, imagery and story telling. Your child learns a series of dances that help develop strength, coordination and spatial skills. Songs and rhymes help children remember steps and positions. Want to take two classes a week? Pair this class with Tumble dance, Tiger Dance, Animal Dancers or Hippity-Hop.
Tiger Dance & (boys 3-4 years old) Animal Dancers (boys and girls 3-4 years old)
Tiger Dance or Animal Dancers is for your very active 3 or 4 year old. Your child learns basic ballet steps, isolations and simple hip-hop & jazz movements. Children join in a series of fun, playful exercised that help them develop strength, coordination, listening skills, flexibility and body awareness. They learn to sequence steps together and practice listening and dancing to music. Take two classes a week and get a discount. Pair this class with Nursery Dance, Hippity-Hop, Tumble Dance, Fairy Princess or Mini Broadway.
Hippity-Hop (boys and girls 3-4 years old)
For boys and girls 3-4 years old. Hippity Hop is your child's first Hip-hop class. Little dancers learn basic Hip-hop steps and isolations. Your child will jump up & down and hop & bop in this energetic and fast paced class. In Hippity-Hop classes, instructors only use appropriate music and steps. Take two classes a week and get a discount. Pair this class with Nursery Dance, Tumble Dance, Tiger Dance, Animal Dancers, Fairy Princess Dance, or Mini-Broadway.
Fairy Princes Dance (girls 4 years old)
Tap / Ballet dance class for 4 year old girls. Dance under the sea, fly on a magic carpet or transform into a beautiful princess. Instructors teach your child basic ballet and tap using imagery based on famous fair tale princesses such as Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and others. Children practice sequencing steps with a focus on transitioning from one step to another. Your child learns a series of fun dances that help develop strength, coordination and spatial skills. Take two classes a week and get a discount. Pair this class with Animal Dancers, Hippity-Hop, Mini-Broadway or Kindercombo.
Mini Broadway (boys and girls 4-5)
Jazz, tap and singing for boys and girls 4 or 5 years old. Instructors use music and moves from musicals and movies, and lead your future actor/actress through exercises that help improve musicality, rhythm, coordination and self-expression. Children learn age appropriate songs they can dance to, body percussion and are encouraged to explore their own style. Take two classes a week and get a discount. Pair this class with Animal Dancers, Hippity-Hop, Mini-Broadway, Kindercombo, Little-hop, Ballet/Tap Combo, or Ballet 1.
Kindercombo (boys and girls 4 1/2 & 5 years old)
Ballet and tap or children 4 1/2 - 5 years old. Children learn basic and intermediate steps and movement appropriate for their age. Part of this class is structured like a classical ballet or tap class. Instructors still lead kids through a number of fun dances that they repeat each week. These dances are designed to reinforce the concepts and steps that are being taught. Students will build on their Ballet and Tap terminology. Of course there are always some fun surprise dances along the way... Like to Hula Hoop?
Little Hop (kindergarten and older)
Little hop is a one-hour class for children in Kindergarten or first grade. Get ready to have some fun. High energy, age appropriate music is used to introduce children to hip-hop. Children learn to isolate body parts, move fast and change direction quickly. Their sense of rhythm and body awareness improves and their ability to follow along and mimic the teacher advances.
Ballet/Tap Combo (kindergarten and older)
Children in Kindergarten and older take 1/2 hour of tap and 1/2 hour of ballet. Unlike Kindercombo both the ballet and tap sections of the class are structured like classical tap and ballet classes. Children work on practicing steps, technique and learn short combinations at the end of class.
Broadway Star Combo (kindergarten and older)
Boys and girls from Kindergarten to second grade will enjoy dancing to popular show tunes from Annie, Grease, Chicago and more. Both the jazz and tap sections of the class are structured like classical tap and jazz classes. Children work on practicing steps, technique and learn short combinations at the end of class.
Ballet 1 (kindergarten and older)
This is classical ballet for children in kindergarten and older. This is your child's first ballet class. The class is structured like a traditional classical ballet class. Children start working with the barre´ and work exclusively with ballet music.
